www.aggbot.com is a fast growing community where people go to get their news.
The aggbot website is easy to use and lets you view various categories and types of news. Behind the scenes our cloud based servers use our bespoke contextualisation technology to collect the latest news stories from thousands of quality syndicated news feeds from around the globe and collates the articles; news is aggregated by region, news topic and most importantly by the news subject or content so you can see articles from different news providers about the same story at a glance.
Our users find that being able to choose which news provider(s) to read for a particular article gives them a broader view of any news story as it unfolds. We currently provide a reverse chronological or time view of the news with the lead story being the latest one published; articles from other news providers about the same story are then shown grouped underneath the lead article.
You can tweet a news article on your twitter account or post it onto your Facebook wall or send the link to an article to your friends by email. For your friends‘ convenience the link will take them straight to the news providers web site but also display the aggbot microbar at the top of the page so that they can easily click to see other grouped articles to read more about the story you sent them.
In the UK all of our Premier Football feeds and many of our other sports including cricket, tennis etc are already available on Twitter where you can get access them via the web and also on your smartphone. Just click on the “follow your team on twitter” link under the breadcrumb trail at the top right hand corner of the menu bar.
In the USA you can get our NFL and NBA feeds on Twitter as well as other popular pages with more to follow soon.
In the future we will provide personalisation features and news filters so that you can see the most popular news stories read or what most people have been emailing to their friends and family or posting on Twitter and/or Facebook.
